News from Dr. NSAM PU College, Mangalore | Prize Distribution Ceremony

“Real education is to teach the art of living, to make life worth living” said Prof. Umesh Shetty, Principal, Dr. BB Hegde First Grade College, Kundapura during the Prize Distribution Ceremony at Dr. NSAM PU College, Mangalore on 4th March 2022. A student should not be restricted only to academics, but should actively take part in extra-curricular activities for the overall development. Human values must be developed through such activities and it is commendable that the college is doing a great job in this regard, he said.

Addressing the gathering, Guest of the day Mr. Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Sandalwood & Tulu Cine Artist said that Education is an integral part of one’s life and urged the students to learn with devotion and diligence. He was of the opinion that blessings from parents & elders are important to achieve success.

Principal Dr. Naveen Shetty K in his presidential address said that extra-curricular activities can improve the emotional quotient of students and have a positive impact on their careers. Student achievers were awarded prizes and certificates by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.

Mr. Devi Prasad, former student & Ms. Shailaja, II PU Commerce were felicitated at the event for taking part in the National Level Volleyball Tournament and representing the college as well as Dakshina Kannada District in the State Level Republic Day Parade held at Bangalore.

Refreshments were served after the formal function, followed by a cultural program.
