In the course of his talk, Rakshith shared with students career opportunities in the Development Sector and also appraised them of the various fellowships available to students of communication interested in a career in the development sector.
After completing his Bachelors at NICO, Rakshith, who had always shown an inclination towards rural journalism, environment, culture and community, went on to do his Masters in Development Communication from the prestigious Azim Premji University, Bangalore. He then worked with a research-based company in Delhi called Devinsights, which largely works with the social development sector.
A quizzer and an excellent debator, Rakshith had also excelled during his internship at The Hindu where he got several stories published.
The talk was followed by an interactive session with students. Maitreya Deshpande, also an alumnus was present at the event.
