News from NMAMIT | Report on MoU with M/s Autoliv India Private Limited, Bengaluru

NMAM Institute of Technology Nitte, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bengaluru and M/s Autoliv India Private Limited Bengaluru signed a Memorandum of Agreement on 11th April 2022 at 12:00 pm in the Board room. The purpose of this MoA is to set up an Incubation Center in Nitte & Bengaluru and provide Training & Development programs to students to improve product and process development abilities, analytical thought, presentation delivery, communication skills, and technical know-how as a part of the Industry-Institute Collaboration. As a part of this MoA, both B.E. and M.Tech. (Machine Design) students of both the colleges will be appointed as project trainees, arranging plant visits to college students and faculty on a case-to-case basis, providing internship projects, and possibly recruiting engineers as and when required.

Mr. Vishal Hegde, Pro-Chancellor (Admn), Nitte DU was present during the signing of the MoA. Mr. Kiran Sheelavant, Associate Vice President represented Autoliv; NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte was represented by Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal and Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bengaluru was represented by Dr. Sudheer Reddy, HoD, Mechanical Engineering.

Dr. Srinivasa Pai, HoD, Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT welcomed the gathering. The institutional presentations were made by Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar and Dr. Sudheer Reddy. Mr. Kiran gave a presentation about Autoliv. The program was compered by Dr. Rashmi P Shetty, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Bharath Kumar, Head, Placement Department proposed the vote of thanks.
