News from NMAMIT | Blood Donation Camp

A Blood Donation Camp was organized by the National Service Scheme; Red Cross Unit; 6 (KAR) Naval Sub Unit of NCC; Association for Interaction of Mechanical Students of NMAMIT; Rotary Club Nitte and Lions Club Hiriyadka in association with Justice KS Hegde Charitable Hospital, Deralakatte; Nitte Gajria Hospital, Karkala and District Government Hospital, Udupi on 26th May 2022 at NMAMIT Campus, Nitte.

Dr. KR Joshi, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Karkala Taluk Branch inaugurated the Camp. Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT presided over the function.

Dr. Srinivasa Rao BR, Vice Principal & CoE; Rtn. Gopalakrishna, President, Rotary Club, Nitte; Ln. Prakash Shetty, President, Lions Club, Hiriyadka; Dr. Chandrika Rao, KS Hegde Hospital; Dr. Ashok, Nitte Gajria Hospital, Karkala and Dr. Veena, District Govt. Hospital, Udupi were present during the event. Dr. Janardhan Nayak, Coordinator, Youth Red Cross, NMAMIT & Dr. Shivaprasad Shetty, NCC Caretaker Officer coordinated the event.

362 units of blood were collected during this camp.
