News from NUINS | Investiture Ceremony of New Student Council 2022-23

The Investiture ceremony of the new Student Council 2022-23 of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences was organized by SNA Council 2021-22 on 9th June 2022 at 2.00 pm at the University Auditorium. The program commenced with an invocation song by Ms. Liniya Thomas & group, followed by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais.

Mr.Passang Tamang, SNA Language Club representative welcomed the gathering. Ms Caroline Sequiera, the SNA Vice President, presented a report of all the SNA activities carried out during the academic year 2021-22. The SNA Office bearers 2021-22 were appreciated for their excellent work and were awarded with certificates and mementoes by Dr. Fatima Dsilva and Dr. Jacintha Veigas. Ms. Caroline thanked the SNA office bearers of 2021-22 for all their hardwork, co-operation and collaboration and wished the new SNA Council the very best for the upcoming SNA activities.

Mrs.Melba Drago, SNA Advisor administered the oath to the new office bearers. This was followed by formal handing over of SNA file to the new SNA Vice President, Ms. Ajal Maria. Ms. Ajal Maria thanked the Principal and the students for placing trust in her and electing her as the new VP and assured the students that she would give her best to make the SNA more vibrant through myriad activities and programs. Six BSc (N) interns who had 100% attendance during internship were acknowledged and appreciated by awarding certificates and mementos to motivate them further and execute their duties sincerely and responsibly. 

 

Dr. Fatima Dsilva, Principal & SNA President delivered the presidential address. In her address, she appreciated the old SNA Council for all their hard work and dedication & congratulated the new SNA office bearers and wished them good luck. Ms. Venica Dias, representative of the Public Speaking Club proposed the vote of thanks. 200 students and 20 faculty members attended the program.
