News from NGSMIPS | Hindustani Vocal concert by SPICMACAY

NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences organised a Hindustani Vocal concert in association with SPICMACAY on 11th March 2023 at Avishkar auditorium, 7th floor, ABSMIDS. The artists were accorded a traditional welcome and escorted to the auditorium. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Registrar, Nitte DU along with Prof. (Dr) CS Shastry, Principal and Dr. R Narayana Charyulu, Vice Principal. The program began with invocation song by Ms. Deeptha Raj, IV PharmD followed by the lamp lighting ceremony. The welcome address was given by the Registrar. Vocalist - Pandit Koushik Aital was accompanied by Pandit Sameer Havaldar on Harmonium and Pandit Yogeesh Bhatt on Tabla. The trio captivated the audience with their awe-inspiring melodious renderings. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Satheesh Kumar Bhandary honoured the artists with shawl and memento, as a token of appreciation. Dr. Chaitrashree, Asst. Prof. Department of Pharmacy Practice delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Ramzziya Meher, IV PharmD compered the program.
