The Department of Paediatric & Preventive Dentistry, AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences organised a free dental screening and oral health awareness program on the 15th July 2023 at Kuvempu Shatamanosthava Madari Hiriya Prathamika School, Nalyapadavu, Shaktinagar, Mangalore.
Dr. Prajna Nayak and Dr. Ananthu, Sr. lecturers along with the postgraduates and interns visited the school. The program began with an oral awareness health talk, followed by oral health check-up for the students of lower primary classes. Consent forms were given to the students who required invasive procedures to be performed under local anaesthesia. 150 students were screened for their oral hygiene status.
