Freshers Day and Oath-taking by the Students Council of Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy were held on 2nd September 2023 at K S Hegde Auditorium.
Dr. Shivananda Pai, Assoc. Professor & Consultant Neurologist, KMC, Mangalore, was the Chief Guest.
Prof. (Dr.) M S Moodithaya, Vice Chancellor, Nitte (DU) presided over the event. Dr. Shivananda Pai, spoke about college life and how it forms the building blocks in one’s career. This was followed by the oath-taking ceremony conducted by Dr. Purusotham Chippala. Badges were conferred to the members of the Council by the dignitaries.
Prof. (Dr.) M S Moodithaya spoke highly about the roles and responsibilities of the Student’s Council and how they impact the overall growth of the Institute. A vote of thanks was rendered by the convenor and faculty advisor to the Council, Ms. Ruchita Narsia, Asst.Professor.
Ms Nishitha Elsy Fernandes, Asst.Professor, was the master of ceremony and Ms Gana Pilinja, Intern evoked God’s blessings with a prayer. Prof. Dr. Dhanesh Kumar K U, Principal, welcomed the dignitaries, students and faculty to the event.
A wide array of performances by the students followed the formal function. Dr Gautham M.K., Assoc. Professor and Dr. Shashank Kotian from the Dept. of ENT, KSHEMA were invited to judge the competitions. Freshers from BPT and MPT showcased their talents. Mr & Ms Fresher and Mr & Ms ‘Best Dressed’ were announced.
