Students of I & II MSc (Marine Biotechnology), II MSc (Biotechnology) and II MSc (Food Safety & Biotechnology) visited the Karnataka Fisheries Development Corporation Limited (KFDC Ltd.) and Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) facility on 16th October 2023 as part of the curriculum, involving bioprocess technology course. They were taught about different processes involved in fish processing for export, development of value-added products from fish and also different instruments used for fish processing. The students were able to understand the concept of Fish processing and export through this visit.
Dr. Shubha JR, Dr. Neetha Nirupam and Mr. Prithvisagar were the facilitators of the program.
