Annual Day, an integral part of school activities was celebrated by Dr.MRSM School on 2nd December 2023 at Padmavathi Lawn, S Kodi.The theme was 'Sustainable Development Goals.
'Dr. Geetha Shashidhar Kotian, Principal Anandathirtha Vidyalaya, Pajaka graced the occasion as Chief Guest . The function was presided over by Dr.Nagesh Prabhu, Director, Curriculum Development, Nitte University.
The other dignitaries present were Mr. Swaraj Shetty, President-PTA, Principal Ms.Shreelatha Rao, Head Boy Devanshu and Head Girl Devanandha Saijush.
The program started with a welcome dance depicting the five elements of life. Later, the formal function began with lighting of the lamp and by paying floral tribute to the Founder of NET Justice K S Hegde.
Dr. Geetha Shashidhar addressed the gathering on the types of parenting and its impact on children. She said that authoritative parenting fosters independence, self discipline and emotional well-being in children. Suicides and harming oneself are the results of authoritarian parenting.
Dr Nagesh Prabhu shared with the audience the relevance of induction of NEP into our education system with its inter-related aspects. He was certain that implementation of NEP 2020 would empower the students with skillsets that will enable them to succeed in life.
The sports and academic achievers were felicitated by the dignitaries.The second half of the program included wonderful performances by senior students that comprised dance, mime, drama, pyramids, karate and yakshagana.
