11th January 2024 marked a crucial day for Dr NSAM First Grade College, Nitte for it signed a much-desired Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a distinguished organization - The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) at the ICAI Bhawan in Mangaluru.
Present at the MoU Exchange ceremony were CA. Dayaniwas Sharma, Vice Chairman, Board of Studies (Academic); CA. Cotha S. Srinivas, Central Council Member; Dr. (Prof.) M.S. Moodithaya, Vice Chancellor, Nitte University; Dr. Veena Kumari B.K, Principal, Dr NSAM First Grade College, Nitte; CA. Gautham Nayak M, Chairman, Mangalore Branch of ICAI; CA. Gautham Pai D, Vice-Chairman, Managalore Branch of ICAI and officials representing ICAI.
The MoU was initiated to facilitate academic collaboration and excellence by the Board of Studies wing of the ICAI. It hopes to build academic cooperation across various courses offered under the Faculty of Commerce & Management, allowing stakeholders to benefit from the transfer of knowledge and skills, that are a pre-requisite for academics and research.
CA. Cotha S. Srinivas, Central Council Member, said “This partnership signifies our commitment to nurturing a generation of graduates who are not only academically proficient, but also equipped with the practical skills and ethical values needed to drive a positive change in our nation and beyond.”
At the ceremony were also present the Heads and officials of Alva’s College, Moodbidri and Canara College, Mangaluru, with whom the ICAI signed MoUs as well.
