A research team led by Dr. Femida Handy, Professor & Researcher, University of Pennsylvania visited Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte on 10th January, 2024 in connection with their study on "Micro Finance and Women Empowerment".
Two special lectures were organised at the institute, on the occasion. Dr. N. S. Shetty, Professor Emeritus delivered a special lecture on "Micro Finance and SHGs - Issues and Concerns'" and Dr. Gururaj H Kidiyoor, Director, gave a talk on "Industry-Academia Collaboration". This was followed by interactive sessions.
The team comprising research scholars Tiana, Rose, Fernanda, Lex, Eva, Grace, Cece, Lilly and Maya interacted with several Self Help Groups in connection with their study.
Prof. Vinod Dixit and Dr. Sudhir Raj K, coordinated the interactive session.
