The HackExpo S02, a culmination of the HackLoop internal hackathon organized by Finite Loop Club (FLC) at NMAM Institute of Technology, unfolded on 23rd March 2024. The event was judged by Dr. Shashank Shetty and Mr. Puneeth R P, Faculty Coordinators of the Finite Loop Club along with Ms. Bhargavi Nayak, Software Developer at NG-Next Tech (alumnus of NMAMIT and former President of the Finite Loop Club). The event aimed to spotlight the ingenuity and technical skills of the participating teams. Over two months, 23 teams engaged in the hackathon's five sprints, each mentored by a member of the FLC core team. The hackathon encouraged teams to choose their problem statements from specific tracks, such as Fintech, Sustainable Development, Healthcare and Edutech for second-year students, and Open Innovation for first-year students. Following the completion of the sprint phases, top 12 teams with 5 first-year teams and 7 second-year teams were selected, to present their projects at the HackExpo.
The formal function commenced with a prayer and lamp lighting ceremony by the Principal, faculty coordinators, Chief guest Ms. Bhargavi Nayak and Mr. Jayden Fernandes, Student Vice President, FLC.
Ms. Bhargavi Nayak & Dr. Shashank Shetty addressed the crowd and the guests were warmly welcomed with flowers. Dr. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT addressed the gathering with Future Technology Scopes. Jayden delivered a speech about HackLoop, detailing its journey and significance, while Ms. Bhargavi elaborated on the importance of hackathons and the scope of various domains. Mr. Puneeth R P concluded the formal function with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all involved, in making the event possible.
The HackExpo presentations showcased a diverse range of projects, highlighting the teams' creativity and problem-solving abilities. Each team demonstrated their projects in front of an eager audience, followed by insightful discussion with the judges. After careful deliberation by the panel of judges, the winners of HackExpo S02 were announced.

The winners were awarded cash prizes based on their rankings. First-place winners in both categories received Rs. 2000/- along with certificates and T-shirts. Second-place winners received Rs. 1000/- along with certificates. Third-place winners were awarded certificates. These prizes aimed to recognize and appreciate the winning teams' exceptional contributions, encouraging continued participation and innovation in future events. The event not only celebrated innovation but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and learning among participants. HackExpo S02 served as a testament to the talent and dedication of students at NMAM Institute of Technology, showcasing their potential to drive meaningful change through technology.
