News from JKSHIM | One-day Faculty Development Program

JKSHIM conducted a one-day Faculty Development Program on the topic, “Literature search using EBSCO” on 13th July 2024. Dr. Praveenkumar Shetty, Director (R&D), Nitte University was the chief guest and Dr. Sudhir M, Director, JKSHIM presided over the program.

The workshop commenced with a technical session on EBSCO software by the resource person, Dr. Mallikarjunappa, Professor, JKSHIM. He gave a brief introduction about EBSCO, the search functions, and advanced search features.

Dr. Praveenkumar Shetty then delivered a keynote on the importance of literature reviews in research. He provided practical guidance on conducting effective literature reviews using EBSCO. The workshop combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, enabling participants to apply their learning to their research projects.
