The Departments of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Public Health Dentistry of AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Nitte (Deemed to be University) in association with Sahyadri Sanchaya under the leadership of Mr. Dinesh Holla & team organised a 2-day program ‘Vana Chethana’ for the Tribal School children of Joida and Yellapur Taluk, Uttara Karnataka on 14th & 15th June 2023. Toothbrushes, toothpastes and school bags were distributed among a total of 330 school children. Tooth brushing technique was demonstrated to all the patients. A skit performance was held to emphasize the importance of oral & general health, while also raising awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption among school children.
