An international symposium on “Recent advancements in non-invasive imaging and molecular techniques in disease diagnosis” was organised at NUCSER on 27th November 2024 to provide a platform to explore cutting-edge non-invasive diagnostic advancements, focus on innovative imaging and molecular techniques, optical approaches to cardiovascular studies using zebrafish models, liquid biopsy in cancer and point-of-care diagnostic platforms. Prof. (Dr) Indrani Karunasagar, Director (Projects & DST-TEC), Nitte (DU), inaugurated the symposium.
Eminent speakers of the symposium namely Dr. Alexander Machikhin, Head of Acousto-optic Spectroscopy Lab, Scientific & Technological Center of Unique Instrumentation, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia, Dr. Rajesh, Professor & Head, Dept. of Respiratory Medicine, Yenepoya Medical College and Dr. K. Sudhakaraprasad, Assoc. Professor, Yenepoya Research Centre presented their cutting-edge research and applications of non-invasive techniques in various scientific fields and how these advancements are shaping the future of disease diagnosis. The symposium was supported by Gene Technologies, Chennai.
A total of 130 participants, including faculty & students from various institutions, took part in the symposium.
