The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great pride and enthusiasm at Dr MRSM English Medium High School on 26th January 2026. The occasion honoured the historic day when the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950, marking India’s transition into a sovereign, democratic republic.
The program began with the rendition of the National Song, Vande Mataram commemorating its 150th year. This was followed by the unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal, Ms. Shreelatha Rao.
Master Sakshath Shetty (Class V), Ms. Saanvi S Shettigar (Class VI) and Ms. Siddhi Bhat (Class X) delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the importance of Republic Day and the values enshrined in the Constitution.
A brief cultural program entertained the audience and reminded everyone of the beauty and diversity of our country.
PTA President, Mr. Pushparaj Chowta, spoke about the significance of Republic Day and also enlightened students on the importance of digital safety in today’s world. Ms. Shreelatha Rao advised students to be responsible citizens, respect the nation, uphold its values and contribute to the country’s progress.
