The Technical Club and Red Cross Unit of NRAM Polytechnic, Nitte jointly organized a technical session on Data Driven Decisions - The Human Role in an AI-Powered World on 17th February 2026 for the first year Technical Club members.
Prof. (Dr) Vasudeva, ISE, NMAMIT explained how data plays a crucial role in decision-making across industries such as healthcare, education & business and the importance of interpreting data responsibly. He emphasized that human intelligence & ethical thinking remain essential even in AI-driven systems and urged students to develop analytical skills, critical thinking and adaptability to work alongside intelligent technologies.
Students actively engaged in discussions on real-world applications of AI, ethical considerations and the importance of human judgement in data-driven environments. The session helped them understand that technology should support human decision-making rather than replace it.
