The National Service Scheme (NSS), in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Dr. NSAM First Grade College, Nitte, organized a program to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas on 27th July 2026 at the college premises.
The guest speaker, Shri Rajendra Patkar, Ex-Serviceman, ACP Naib Subedar delivered an inspiring talk on the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas. He explained the background of the Kargil War and highlighted the courage, sacrifice and patriotism displayed by the Indian Armed Forces in protecting the nation's sovereignty. Drawing from his own experience as an ex-serviceman, he shared valuable insights into the discipline, commitment and dedication required in military service. He motivated students to cultivate qualities such as patriotism, integrity, responsibility and self-discipline in their daily lives. He reminded the students that Kargil Vijay Diwas is not merely a celebration of victory but a tribute to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation.
Shri Patkar was felicitated on this occasion, as a mark of respect and appreciation for his dedicated service to the nation. The program witnessed the active participation of students and faculty members.
