An awareness program on Drug Addiction was organized on 24th June 2026 at Dr. NSAM Pre-University College to educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to inspire them to lead healthy, purposeful lives.
The resource person Ms. Divya N, Counselor of District Mental Health Division, Health & Family Welfare Department DK stressed the importance of identifying addictive substances and the mental resilience required to stay away from them.
Dr. Naveen Shetty K, Principal, Dr. NSAM PU College expressed concern that many young people are ruining their future through addiction and neglecting the true purpose of education. He urged the students to stay away from bad habits, make wise decisions and use their knowledge & abilities to lead a meaningful life.
The awareness program was highly informative and inspiring, encouraging students to stay away from addictions and embrace healthy, purposeful and value-based lives.
