Women Guidance Cell and Women Rights Commission Cell celebrated the end of monsoon by having a great finale of “AATI DA GAMMAT”.
Lighting of the lamp was graced by Dr. Ramananda Shetty, Vice – Chancellor of Nitte University, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Dean of A.B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Dean, KSHEMA, Dr. Prakash P.S, Vice Dean, KSHEMA, Dr Alka Kulkarni, Controller of examination. Other university officials were also present for the occasion.
The tradition of Aati was elaborately spoken by the speaker Mr. Manohar Prasad, News Bureau Chief, Udayavani. The main attraction was the function was a mouth water spread of tulunadu speciality. All the antique of tulunadu was exhibited. Teaching, non teaching staff & student council members actively participated in the function. Dr Suma, Professor of Anaesthesiology was the master of ceremony. The programme was organised by Dr. Sukanya Shetty, Professor and head, department of Biochemistry.
