News from Dr. NSAM Pre-University College, Bengaluru | Save Soil Save Earth

In a heartfelt tribute to the environment and nation, Dr. NSAM Pre-University College, Nanthoor celebrated Our Earth, Our Country Day on 9th August 2023 with a deep sense of patriotism and a fervent commitment to preserve the environment. The event which took place at the Grama Panchayat Office in Narikombu Bantwal was organized by the NSS Unit of the college as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

Presiding over the program, Dr. Naveen Shetty, Principal, Dr. NSAM PUC emphasized the significance of nature, stating, "Nature is a precious gift given by God. In India, we worship five elements, including the Earth. We should pay back our debt by growing trees. It is our duty to honor the brave soldiers who are the reason for our good sleep." His words resonated with the audience and set the tone for the day.

Ms. Vinutha Purushothama, President, Grama Panchayat Office commended the students for venturing into rural areas to raise awareness about nature. She expressed her hopes that these students would contribute to development of the nation. Students in the Panchayat area planted various types of saplings and pledged to protect them, reinforcing their commitment to preserving the earth.

One of the highlights of the event was the felicitation of retired personnel from the Armed Forces - Sri. Prabhakara Gundera (Air Force), Sri. Sudheer Pai (Indian Navy) & Sri. Monappa Poojari (Army) acknowledging their dedication and service to the nation.

The program began with a prayer by Ankitha. Giri was the master of ceremony and Ms. Sandhya NSS Officer coordinated the program.

News from NSAMPUC, Bengaluru | Eco Club Rally

Dr. NSAM PU students engaged in a rally on 27th September 2023 to create environmental awareness among the local community. The students prepared eco-friendly handbags out of old newspapers and distributed them to grocery shops, medical stores and other retail outlets. Placards and slogans were used to create awareness on 'Going Green' and avoid the usage of plastic in day-to-day life. The rally got a positive response from the public.

News from Dr. NSAMPUC, Bengaluru | Three-day educational trip

Dr. NSAM PU College organized a three-day educational trip to Murudeshwara, Honnavara and Yana Caves.  It was a great learning experience for the 150 students who were accompanied by 15 staff members.
