The world Alzheimer’s day was observed by the department of Psychiatric
Nursing in association with Snehanjali Prathishtaana Farangipete and Rotary Club
Bantwala, Mangalore. On this occasion the department organized awareness program on
the theme: “Can we reduce risk of Dementia”.
The awareness program began at 10 am welcome note by Ms. Savitha, 2
year M.Sc Nursing. The significance of the day was explained by Mrs. Aruni.G lecturer.
The students of 3
rd
year B.Sc (N) enacted role play on symptoms of Alzhemier’s disease.
The prevention part was discussed by Ms. Tincy Selma Thomas with the help of power
point. They were around 150 people from Dharmastala Grama Abhivridhi Yojana. were
benefited .The audience doubts were cleared by Mr. Sukesh, lecturer the department of
Psychiatric Nursing. Mr. Krishna Poonja, managing trustee appreciated the department.
