Anandotsava ’16 - NMAMIT

A state level inter-collegiate three day cultural & literary mega annual event, which is popularly known as Anandotsava ’16, organized by NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, was inaugurated by Sri.Annamalai IPS, Superintendent of Police, Udupi district, on 25th February at 10 AM in the nitte campus. During his inaugural speech, he said “Enjoy your journey of life with a specific goal in your life. A well-known psychological study of a normal human being says that quality of relationships, peaceful atmosphere and variety in life will fetch happiness. A man shouldn’t be a slave for money and he should be having some ethics and norms in the lifestyle which helps him to reach his goal” he added.

“Every individual should take a minimum risk in life to reach a goal. Presently, the government is supportive to startups. In the last four years, we have seen a large number of start-ups coming up in Bangalore. There is now a good scope in the sports field too. The next forty years is the Bright time for India as we will be having a maximum population of youth.” he said.















Dr.N Vinaya Hegde, President of Nitte Education Trust in his presidential speech remarked that “Mr. Annamalai is a real role model for the present generation. The young minds should be given a thought on moral values and young minds like students should work for the betterment of the country. I’m sure that our students will do justice to this country.” he said.

Principal Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar welcomed the gathering and also presented the college annual report. Prof.Vishwanath, faculty coordinator of Anandotsava ’16 presented the significance of Anandotsava. Dr. I. R. Mithathaya, vice principal and Dean read the names of academic topers and Mr. Ganesh Poojary, Physical Director read the winners list of sports and games for the prize distribution.

Student Ananya Rao performed the prayer. Vice Principal & COE Dr. Shrinivas Rao B.R. proposed the vote of thanks.

During this occasion the most outstanding achiever of NMAMIT – 2016, college award instituted by alumni Mr. Sanjeeth Shetty was given away to Ms.Jane Maureen Jayakumar, Final Biotechnology Dept. as the best outgoing student of the institute. The best achievers of each of the departments was given away to Ms.Lavanya V Bhat (Civil Engg.), Mr.Hitesh B (Mechanical Engg.), Mr. Melvill Mark Dsilva (Electrical and Electronics Engg.), Mr. Prajwal Sharma (Electronics and Communication Engg.), Mr. Nikhil Nitesh (Computer Science Engg.), Ms. Amulya BR (Information Science Engg.) and Ms. Jane Maureen Jayakumar (Biotechnology Engg.). Prof. Shalini K Sharma read the Sanjeeth Shetty fellowship awards.

During the occasion, the national level sports champions of the Institute were also felicitated with the best outgoing college sports person and the inter-college sports champions were also felicitated with trophy.
