The Department of Psychiatry organised ‘FAMILY MEET -2016’ for the families of de-addiction people on 4th of March-2016 along with the Tobacco Cessation Clinic Inauguration in the seminar hall at Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Hospital. There were four resource persons for the Programme
1.Dr. P.V. Bhandary, Director Dr. A.V. Baliga Group of Institutions, Udupi gave a talk on ‘Psycho-Social Aspects of Smoking and Alcohol’.
2. Prof. Dr.Rajeswari A., Head of the Department E.N.T., KSHEMA gave a talk on ‘Tobacco and Throat’
3. Asso. Professor & Head, Dr. Giridhar , Dept. of Pulmonary Medicine, KSHEMA gave a talk on ‘Tobacco and Your Lungs’
4. Prof. Dr. Shrinavasa Bhat, , Professor, Dept. of Psychiatry, KSHEMA gave a talk on ‘Alcohol and family’
Prof. Dr. Satheesh Rao, Head of the Department of psychiatry welcomed the audience.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Santosh Prabhu, Asst. Professor, and Department of Psychiatry Around 75 families benefitted by this programme.
