A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in association with Curriculum Development Directorate, Nitte University organized a Hands on Training Program for Postgraduate Students on “MS Office made easy” on Wednesday 21st September, 2016 by Dr.P.S.Sree Cumar, Final year Postgraduate Student, Dept. of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Prof.(Dr.) U.S.Krishna Nayak, Principal and Dean presided over the function. Prof.Rajshekhar, Director, Curriculum Development Directorate motivated the students to actively participate in the Hands on training Workshop. Prof.(Dr.) Rajendra Prasad, Director, PG Studies, Prof.(Dr.) N Mithra Hegde, Vice Principal, Prof.(Dr.) M S Ravi, Head of the Department of Orthodontics, Prof.(Dr.) Shishir Shetty, Professor, Dept of Conservative Dentistry were also present.
Tips and tricks in Microsoft Word, Power point and Excel were explained to students through hands on Exercises to make effective presentation and to save time and energy. Also demonstration of Google forms, docs and Spreadsheets was also given to motivate students to take up online surveys. This 3 hours long program was well attended and appreciated by more than 50 Postgraduate Students.
