Inauguration of Student Chapter of Indian Welding Society at NMAMIT

NMAMIT student chapter of Indian Welding Society was formally inaugurated on 17th January 2017. In a glittering function, Sri S. Gopinath, President of IWS and Former Executive Director of BHEL Trichy inaugurated the student chapter in the presence of officials of IWS Mr. Singaravelu and Mr. G. Rajendran. Mr. Gopinath emphasized that the students need to take benefit of the societies like Indian Welding Society to be industry-ready while graduating and to become professional engineers. Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal of NMAMIT in his presidential address mentioned that IWS resource persons will bring in a very rich experience of their exposure in various industries pertaining to welding, which the students need to make use of. Dr. Shashikantha Karinka, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering welcomed the gathering. Dr. Mallikappa introduced the guests and Prof. Aneesh Jose hosted the programme. Dr. I.R. Mithanthaya, Vice Principal, Dr. Sudesh Bekal, Dean (R&D) and Dr. Subrahmanya Bhat, Dean (Student Welfare) and large number of students attended the ceremony.
