Public Awareness Program, "World TB Day"

The Department of Community Medicine organized a Public Awareness Program, "World TB Day" on 21-03-2017 at Health Center Sasihithlu. In view of World TB Day, Health Centre Sasihithlu in collaboration with Sasihithlu Yuvaka Yuvathi sanga and old students association. Welcome speech was given by Mr. Santhosh. Dr. Indushekar Shetty presented a talk in the local language about TB in general which was followed by a PPT presentation by Dr. Ankeeta. The presentation highlighted the types, causes, clinical features, prevention, treatment modalities and DOTS regime of TB. The session was very effective.The program had successfully motivated the people of both genders between the age groups of 50-70 years. Ex.president of old students association Mr.Raghunath Karkera appreciated the programme. Mr. Dilip coordinated and supported by inerns Dr. Ramesh and Dr. Nandini.
