The Department of Community Medicine organized a Health Camp / Outreach Program, "Health Awareness & Medical Camp" on 11-07-2017 at M.R.PUNJA ITI THOKKUR. Health awareness talk regarding Substance Abuse among Adolescents was given by Dr. Rashmi Kundapur in general and a separate brief talk on Menstrual Hygiene was given for the girls. Followed by which general Medical Health Check up was done by the postgraduates (Dr. Shameena.A.U and Dr. Rakesh) and interns (Tarun and ashitha) under the guidance of Dr. Rashmi Kundapur. A total of 145 students were examined, out of which 20 were Anaemic. They were advised for Hb estimation and was referred to Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital for further evaluation.Other minor ailments were treated symptomatically. The camp was overall coordinated by Mr. Harsha Raj.
