Day 1: 08-08-2017
As a part of World Breast Feeding Week Celebration-2017 the Department of Child Health Nursing has conducted a Health Education programme on ‘breast feeding’ at Huhakuvakallu Anganwadi. 42 mothers of anganwadi children attended the programme. The programme was conducted on 08-08-17 at 10.30 - 11.30 am. Mrs. Jeevitha Alva Lecturer and Prof. Sujatha ,HOD Child Health Nursing Department has given health talk on”Breast Feeding”
The programme started at 10.30 am with a prayer and brief introduction by the anganwadi supervisor Mrs.Saveetha . Later the Faculty briefed about the importance of exclusive breast feeding ,techniques, positions of breast feeding and doubts were clarified The mothers gained knowledge regarding breast feeding its importance, techniques different positions of feeding and storing breast milk. The mothers verbalized the effectiveness of this health education.
Day 2: 09-08-2017
As a part of World Breast Feeding Week Celebration-2017 the Department of Child Health Nursing has conducted a Health Education programme on ‘breast feeding’ at Naringana Anganwadi. 60 mothers attended the programme conducted on 09-08-17 at 11.20 am -12.00 Noon. Mrs. Jeevitha Alva, Mrs. Harsha, Lecturer and Prof. Sujatha, HOD, Child Health Nursing Department has given health talk on”Breast Feeding”
The programme started at 11.20 am with a prayer and brief introduction by the anganwadi supervisor Mrs. Sindhu. Later the Faculty briefed about the importance of exclusive breast feeding , techniques, positions and importance of exclusive breast feeding and doubts were clarified. The mothers gained knowledge regarding breast feeding its importance, techniques different positions of feeding and storing breast milk. The mothers verbalized the effectiveness of this health education.
