“Our weakness should never interfere in achieving our goals - one should overcome one’s weakness and achieve the desired goal” said Dr. Shridhar Maniyani, Special Officer, Department of Collegiate Education, Mangaluru after inaugurating SAMVITH, the Commerce Association on 6th September 2019. He appreciated the presentations made by the students on contemporary business issues and those pertaining to Commerce. He admired their efforts and appreciated their logical thinking and creativity. He was of the opinion that the economy of our country has not crashed – it was only the business model that had changed. He further added that these changes were normal.
Principal Dr. Naveen Shetty K advised the students to develop the habit of reading the newspaper on a daily basis. He further said that the changing economic and commercial situation in the country should be analyzed. It is not possible for a person or a country to fully control the economic ups and downs. The economic fluctuations around the world, also affects the economic conditions of a country.
Vice Principal Ms. Annapurna Naik was present on the occasion. Mr. Ananth Shenoy, Commerce student was the Master of Ceremony. The prayer song was rendered by Ms. Neeriksha and Ms. Vaishnavi. Mrs. Sangeetha Shetty, Lecturer in Statistics welcomed the gathering. Mr. Purushotham Bhat, Lecturer in Economics introduced the Chief guest. Mrs. Shakunthala Shetty, Commerce faculty presented the report.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Raghunandan, Secretary, Commerce Association.
