New Age Incubation Network [NAIN] Center, NMAMIT, Nitte in association with KITS, Dept. of IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka organized a competition "Start-Up Pitch-2k20" on 16th January 2020 at Shambavi Seminar Hall, NMAMIT, Nitte.
"Start-up Pitch-2k20" was organized to provide an opportunity to the students to pitch their business ideas and portray their zeal for start-up. Chief Guest for the event, Mr. Nidhish Hosabettu, Start-up Evangelist & Founder, Start-up Mitra, Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal and Mr. Shashank Shetty, K-Tech District Innovation Associate, NAIN, staff and student coordinators inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.
The event kick-started with a prayer by Mr. Vijeth Ullal followed by the welcome address and floral welcome of guests by Mr. Shashank Shetty. Mr. Nidhish Hosabettu, in his speech, briefed the importance of start-up and gave an insight into his venture Start-up Mitra, a virtual platform for the start-up ecosystem.
Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT in his presidential address briefed the students on the significance of taking-up NAIN projects and appreciated the work done by NAIN in the last six years.
Mr. Goutam Naik, NAIN Alumni, shared his experience during the undergraduate days and explained how taking-up NAIN projects provided a platform to start his venture. Ms Swathi Shenoy, III CSE introduced the Chief Guest. Mr Rajath Rao, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering delivered the Vote of Thanks.
There was an overwhelming response from the students of NMAMIT, Nitte. Around 43 business proposals were received and grouped based on their domains. These business proposals were judged by three panels.
