News from Dr. NSAM PU College, Mangalore | Kannada Rajyotsava celebration

The NSS unit of Dr. NSAM PU College, Mangalore celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava on 1st November 2020. 

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Naveen Shetty K, Principal of the college. Speaking on the occasion of the 65th Kannada Rajyotsava, he said that it was a very special day for our state and this was the day in the year 1956 where all the Kannada speaking regions of south India were merged to form the State of Karnataka and the newly unified state initially retained the name Mysore State. 

He further said that the language is a medium of expressing emotions and that the personality of a person depends on the language he speaks. 

Mr. Mahesh, Mrs. Sandhya, Mrs. Meera Crasta & Mrs. Manaswini sang the Nadageethe ‘Jai Bharata jananiya tanujathe’. The program was compered by Mr. Mahesh, English Lecturer. Mrs. Manaswini, Chemistry Lecturer welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Geetha, Physics Lecturer rendered the vote of thanks.
