Prof (Dr) Amitha M Hegde, President of N-SPECC welcomed the guests and the gathering. Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice Chancellor, Nitte DU inaugurated the program and addressed the gathering. Registrar, Dr Alka Kulkarni; Dean of KSHEMA, Dr P S Prakash and Medical Superintendent of Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital, Major (Dr) Shivakumar Hiremath were the Guests of Honor.
Director of NISH Prof T Dattatreya; Vice Dean, KSHEMA Dr A M Mirajkar; Principal of NISH, Ms Shwetha; Professor & HoD of ENT, Dr Vadisha Bhat were present during the event.
Faculty and students of the Department of ENT, KSHEMA and NISH performed a skit on disabilities that are invisible and hence ignored. Aids and appliances were distributed to special children.
