The Dept. of Public Health Dentistry, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in association with the Rotary Club, Periyapatna Mid Town conducted a free dental treatment camp at Tsepal Topkyed Day Care Medical Centre, Golden Temple, Kushalnagar on 17th & 18th October 2022.
Prof. Dr. U.S. Krishna Nayak, Principal & Dean, ABSMIDS inaugurated the Mega Dental Treatment Camp. Hon’ble Civil Court Judges of Periyapatna, Shri. Samiulla & Shri. Yogesh were the chief guests for the program. President of Rotary Club, Periyapatna Mid Town Rtn. Mr. Sathyanarayan, Senior Advocate; Mr. B.V. Javaregowda, Priest of the Golden Temple and Dr. Ang Gelu, Medical Officer of Tsepal Topkyed Day Care Medical Centre and other Rotary Club members also graced the occasion. Oral Health Awareness Talk was delivered and toothbrushing technique was demonstrated to the gathering.
359 patients were screened during the camp. Of these, 149 patients underwent oral prophylaxis, 145 - GIC restorations, 52 - Extractions, 15 - Disimpaction, 11 - Root Canal Treatment (single sitting), 3 - Composite and 12 - Access Opening.
