23rd February is celebrated as National Periodontist Day. On this occasion, a Quiz competition was organized by the Dept. of Periodontology, ABSMIDS under the direction of Prof. (Dr.) Amitha Ramesh, HoD Periodontology. Dr. Ayush rendered the prayer song which was followed by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries & student representatives.
Prof. (Dr.) Amitha Ramesh welcomed the gathering & participants. Prof. (Dr.) US Krishna Nayak, Principal & Dean gave the presidential remarks and wished the participants well. Dr. Akshatha Shetty delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Smitha Shetty & Dr. Akshatha Shetty coordinated the program.
Four teams participated in the quiz. Each team comprised of a PG, an intern and a student from the 3rd and 4th year. Dr. Kartika Nair and Dr. Gauri were the Quiz masters. The quiz consisted of 4 rounds - Multiple choice, Picture trivia, Rapid fire round and Charades. Team D comprising of Dr. Uday Simha, Niranjan, Shruthi and Karthika won the first place.
