National integration camp - NUINS

NSS Volunteers from Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences participated in National Integration camp organized by Mangalore University from 22-2-2017 to 28-2-2017 at MGM College Udupi under the leadership of Prof. Veneetha Rai, Programme co-ordinator Mangalore University and Prof. Kusuma Kamath , Principal MGM College. There were 150 volunteers from 5 different states like Karnataka, Kerala, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana. On first day there was ice breaking session and a rally was organized to depict their own culture. Students participated actively in Yoga, Prayer, Shramadan and Cultural activities; there were also visits to historical places like Sri Krishna Temple and museum. Guest lectures were organized on different topics – understanding unity in diversity, save our planet mother earth, self awareness, and personal holistic competence. On the last day there was Shibira jyothi in the night, and the camp concluded with valedictory program.
