Health Camp / Outreach Program, "Anganwadi health report- Bailur" - KSHEMA

The Department of Public Health organized a Health Camp / Outreach Program, "Anganwadi health report- Bailur" on 22-03-2017 at Bailur. An anganwadi health check up was conducted by the interns posted at Kowdoor Srinivasa Hegde memorial health centre, Bailur (satellite hospital under KSHEMA) during their postings in the Department of Public Health, KSHEMA. Interns namely Dr. Nagshobana and Dr Aditya conducted anganwadi health checkup under the supervision of Dr Sanjay Kini, Assistant Professor/MO, department of Community Medicine, KSHEMA, in Basari anganwadi Bailur on 22-03-2017. There were 27 children consisting of 15 boys and 12 girls. There were no cases of anemia or dental caries. Children who were found to have health ailments like fever, cold were referred to Kowdoor Srinivasa Hegde memorial health centre, Bailur. All children were found to be immunized till date. Anthropometric measurements were taken. Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) classification was used to measure wasting (weight for age) in children according to weight for age and Waterlow classification was used to calculate stunting (height for age).
