International Nurses Day

Today, 12th May 2020 is the 200th birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of nursing and nurses all over the world observe it as the International Nurses Day. This year is extra special for every nurse as it is marked as the Year of the Nurse and the Midwife.

This year, the theme focuses on the invaluable services rendered by nurses all over the world. With the outbreak of COVID-19, nurses have joined other heal

thcare professionals as frontline warriors following in the path laid down by their Mentor, the Lady with the Lamp, at the Crimean War.

On the occasion of International Nurses Day, we recognise the efforts put in by nurses all over the world and appreciate their selflessness and dedication in fighting the pandemic.

We are proud of our nurses and owe them a debt of gratitude. We hope the coming generations will be attracted to this noble profession and the world will see many more committed healers.
