News from NUINS | Guest lecture on ‘Fire Safety'

The Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing of NUINS organized a guest lecture on ‘Fire Safety’ along with a practical demonstration on 11-02-2021.

Mr. Prashanth Kamath, Fire & Safety Officer, Nitte (Deemed to be University) was the resource person. He lucidly explained the preventive and safety measures to be followed to avoid fire accidents and answered the questions raised by the students.

This was followed by a practical demonstration of fire fighting techniques to teach the students how to face the situation boldly without panicking, in case there was an accident.

Prof. (Dr.) Sabitha Nayak, Vice Principal, NUINS presided over the program and delivered the keynote address. Mrs. Latha.S, Head, Dept of Medical-Surgical Nursing managed the proceedings and was assisted by Mrs. Gloria Dsouza, II M.Sc (N) who welcomed the gathering. Ms.Noksenkhumla B Chang II M.Sc(N) proposed the vote of thanks.
