News from NUCSER | A seminar on ‘Women Health and Hygiene’

Though women's rights are often spoken of, in a literate society, women's health is still hushed up and people are hesitant to talk of it. Keeping this in mind, a program on ‘Women Health and Hygiene’ was organized by the Women’s Cell of NUCSER on 25th February 2021.

The resource person, Dr. Shipra Sonkusare, Professor, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, K S Hegde Medical Academy, discussed ‘Personal Hygiene for Women’ with the female students and staff of NUCSER.

In her talk, Dr. Shipra addressed the issues related to general hygiene for a healthy living and stressed on personal hygiene, especially during menstruation. The program provided a platform for the participants to clarify queries on many issues and dispelled many misbeliefs.
