“Yoga is the key to keeping our body healthy. One can lead a healthy life if he devotes at least an hour to yoga practice every day” said Mr. Janardhan, Yoga Practitioner of Patanjali Yoga Samithi, Nethravathi Zone, Mangalore while addressing the faculty and students on the occasion of the 7th International Yoga Day Celebration at Dr. NSAM PU College, Mangaluru on 21st June 2021. He further added that Yoga is a great physical exercise that combines the mind and the body with breath-taking action, meditation, asanas and pranayama to prevent most diseases.
Principal Dr. Naveen Shetty K. in his presidential address said `Good health is essential for every person and we must dedicate at least one hour to yoga every day, to improve our immune system thus preventing physical and mental illnesses.
Mr. Bhujanga Rao, Yoga Trainer and Member of Patanjali Yoga Samithi , Nethravathi Zone, Mangalore demonstrated the yoga asanas.
Around 250 students and parents joined the yoga program virtually, through the online google meet platform.
