News from ABSMIDS | International Day of Radiology

The Dept. of Oral Medicine & Radiology, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, in association with the Mangalore OMR Study Group, held events for undergraduate students on the occasion of the International Day of Radiology on 8th November 2021 at Trimshathi Bhavan, ABSMIDS under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Vidya Ajila, Head, Dept. of Oral Medicine and Radiology.

The events included E-poster, Model making, Caption This, and T-shirt designing. Prof (Dr) Biju Thomas, Prof (Dr) Subhas Babu, Prof (Dr) Rahul Bhandary, Prof (Dr) K Saidath, Dr Azhar Mohammed, Dr Gopinath Thilak and Dr Ganaraj Shetty were the esteemed judges for the respective events.

Dr Sonika Achalli and Dr Ananya Madiyal were the program coordinators. Dr Supriya Bhat was the master of ceremony.

Shivika Duggal won the Best Caption; Vaishnavi Subhash Naik was awarded the Best E-poster. Saloni Menon won the Best T-shirt design; and Diya Shetty, Saloni Menon and Shivika Duggal won the prize for the Best Model. Prof (Dr) Mithra Hegde addressed the gathering at the valedictory function and distributed the certificates to the winners. Prof (Dr) Vidya Ajila spoke about the significance of the International Day of Radiology. Dr Sonika Achalli delivered the vote of thanks.
