The Dept. of Pathology, K.S Hegde Medical Academy organized a CME on Immunohistochemistry - An aid to resolve the Diagnostic Quandary on 25th March 2023.
Speakers included Dr. Kedar Deodhar, Professor, Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai; Dr. Usha Amritham, Professor & Head of Oncopathology, Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore and Dr Geeta V Patil Okaly, Associate Professor, Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore.
Prof (Dr) Shantharam Shetty, Pro-Chancellor, Nitte was the Chief Guest and Dean, Prof Dr. P S Prakash the Presiding Officer.
Prof (Dr) Jayaprakash Shetty, the Organizing Chairperson, Vice Dean and Head of the Dept of Pathology KSHEMA, welcomed the gathering. Dr Apoorva K, Organizing Secretary, Assistant Professor, Dept of Pathology, KSHEMA, proposed the vote of thanks.
Various aspects of Immunohistochemistry and its role in diagnostic histopathology were discussed. Around 180 delegates from various states of south India participated in the program. The session was very interactive and feedback from the participants was good. Credit points for the CME were awarded by the Karnataka Medical Council.
