The 6th Annual Day Celebration of Nitte University Centre for Science Education & Research was held on 16th March 2023 at the K S Hegde Auditorium, Deralakatte.
The gracious presence of Rev. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Principal, St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, as the Chief Guest and Dr V K Sashindran, Director of PG studies, KSHEMA, Nitte DU as the Guest of Honour, made the evening very special. Prof. Dr Anirban Chakraborty, Director, NUCSER presided over the function.
The formal event of the Annual Day started with the welcome address by Prof. Smitha Hegde, Dy. Director, NUCSER followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. The Annual Report of the academic year, 2022-23 where the achievements of the institution were highlighted, was read by Dr Ramya H, IQAC Coordinator, NUCSER.
On this occasion, the yearly college magazine- ANVESHAN 2023 was also unveiled. A prelude to the making of the college magazine was given by Dr Juliet Mohan Raj, Staff Editor, before the official release by the dignitaries.
As a part of the tradition, the students were felicitated for their achievements in academic and extra-curricular activities. Prizes for overall championship in Inter-house sports and cultural events were also given along with prizes for individual performances.
After the conclusion of the formal function, the gala evening was filled with several cultural performances by talented students and staff of NUCSER. The participation was topped with unmatched fervour and enthusiasm that kept the crowd entertained all through the evening.
The support from the Student Welfare Committee, teaching & non-teaching staff, Student Council members and the students of NUCSER made the event a grand success.
