NUCSER organized a visit to Solara Active Pharma Sciences located at Baikampady Industrial area, Mangaluru for the postgraduate students of Biomedical Science, Microbiology and Biotechnology on 6th April, 2023. The company is a customer-oriented active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturer. This visit was aimed at enhancing the practical knowledge of students on advanced technology used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products. During the visit, the HR manager briefed about the functioning of the company, which was followed by a guided tour of the different processes involved in collecting raw materials, manufacturing, waste disposal, quality assurance and dispatch of the product.
The students got useful insights into an industrial process. Dr. Akhila D.S and Dr. Rajeshwari Vittal coordinated the visit.
