News from NSAMFGC, Nitte | Ninth Endowment Lecture

The ninth Endowment Lecture on the topic, Management in Action - Japanese Perspectives was held on 12th April 2023 at Dr. NSAM FGC, Nitte. Addressing the students, Mr. Tetsuo Oikawa, President, KAIJO Corporations, Japan said KAIJO is a leading ultrasonic technology company providing wire bonding technology and cleaning process. The vision of Japanese model is to propose a basic framework of customization and improvement. He added that he looked forward to having more Indians in his company to have a better working experience.

The guest of honor Prof. Harikrishna Bhat, Director, International Collaborations, Nitte DU informed the gathering that he had spent 42 years in Japan and had pursued his postgraduate studies in Japan. He had worked for KAIJO Corporations and Indian IT companies in Japan. In World War II in 1945, Japan was destroyed completely by America and was left with nothing. Thereafter, America invested about two billion dollars to rebuild Japan. He said that within 19 years, it was unbelievable that the world’s fastest bullet train ran from Tokyo to Osaka, which is the best example of Japanese technology. He said that all this was possible due to 3Ds - Determination, Dedication and Dignity. He also mentioned that in Japan Discipline and Punctuality is very much honored. In 2018, there was an agreement between Japan and India to send five lakh engineers over 5 years, but on account of the pandemic, this could not materialize. Japan is now looking for ten lakh engineers from India.
