The NSS Unit of NMAM Institute of Technology participated in the National Pledge Against Drug Abuse organised on 18th August 2026, as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) in accordance with the communication issued by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, GoI. As part of the observance, the core committee members of the NSS Unit, NMAMIT led the first year students of the institution in taking the national pledge against drug abuse.

The program aimed to create awareness among young students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage them to contribute towards building a healthy and drug-free society. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 1900 first-year students. The NSS volunteers interacted with the students and emphasised the importance of making responsible choices, staying away from substance abuse and spreading awareness among their peers and the wider community.
