The 50th Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with zeal on 1st November 2023 at Dr. MRSM English Medium School.
Chief guest, Dr Santhosh Alva, Professor, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of addressed the gathering on the importance of language and how it helps a person to acquire the skills to understand the world better. He highlighted the advantage of being born in a multilingual country like India.
Principal Ms Shreelatha Rao urged the students to inculcate the habit of reading as it gives us the elements to interact smoothly, in a society. She encouraged the students to develop writing skills, which may bring them to lime light in the future.
Mr Narendra Prabhu, Secretary of PTA said that reading articles and listening to music will help children to imbibe respect and tolerance for different languages.
Five songs mandated by the State Government were sung by the students. Ms Jayashree Moolya welcomed the gathering, Mr Suraj Acharya proposed the vote of thanks and Ms Sujatha Upadhya anchored the event.
Sweets were distributed to all.
