The annual White Coat Day celebration and a guest lecture was organised on 20th January 2024 at Avishkar Auditorium, ABSMIDS. The program commenced with an invocation followed by lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest and resource person, Prof. (Dr). Naveen Salins and other dignitaries. Prof (Dr) U.S. Krishna Nayak, Principal & Dean delivered the welcome address emphasizing the significance of effective communication skills in clinical practice.
Prof (Dr) Naveen Salins, Associate Dean of Research, KMC, Manipal was formally introduced by the program coordinator, Dr. Sahana Maben. This was followed by a Guest Lecture on "Being Professional," specifically tailored for III BDS students and I MDS students. Dr. Upasana J Reddy, Lecturer, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics explained the significance of the white coat.
The event had nearly 150 participants.
